Jail History and Structure

In 1978, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Saint Johns. The justice center houses the Apache County county sheriff, Saint Johns police department offices, and the Apache County Jail. The Apache County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Apache County Jail. Originally, the Apache County Jail could house approximately 1708 inmates.
