Jail History and Structure

In 1979, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Fayetteville. The justice center houses the Fayette County county sheriff, Fayetteville police department offices, and the Fayette County Jail. The Fayette County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Fayette County Jail. Originally, the Fayette County Jail could house approximately 2101 inmates.

Juvenile Detention Center
