Jail History and Structure

In 1984, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Bonners Ferry. The justice center houses the Boundary County county sheriff, Bonners Ferry police department offices, and the Boundary County Jail. The Boundary County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Boundary County Jail. Originally, the Boundary County Jail could house approximately 1500 inmates.
