Jail History and Structure

In 1988, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Danville. The justice center houses the Hendricks County county sheriff, Danville police department offices, and the Hendricks County Jail. The Hendricks County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Hendricks County Jail. Originally, the Hendricks County Jail could house approximately 2272 inmates.
