Jail History and Structure

In 1984, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Glenwood. The justice center houses the Mills County county sheriff, Glenwood police department offices, and the Mills County Jail. The Mills County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Mills County Jail. Originally, the Mills County Jail could house approximately 2148 inmates.
