Jail History and Structure

In 1985, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Hutchinson. The justice center houses the Reno County county sheriff, Hutchinson police department offices, and the Reno County Jail. The Reno County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Reno County Jail. Originally, the Reno County Jail could house approximately 1761 inmates.

Over the years, the Reno County Jail has undergone numerous modifications and eventually became one of the largest facilities in the Reno County county.

Juvenile Detention Center
