Jail History and Structure

In 1981, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Owingsville. The justice center houses the Bath County county sheriff, Owingsville police department offices, and the Bath County Jail. The Bath County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Bath County Jail. Originally, the Bath County Jail could house approximately 1584 inmates.
