Jail History and Structure
In 1988, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Beulah. The justice center houses the Benzie County county sheriff, Beulah police department offices, and the Benzie County Jail. The Benzie County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Benzie County Jail. Originally, the Benzie County Jail could house approximately 2429 inmates.
