Jail History and Structure

In 1986, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Harrisonville. The justice center houses the Cass County county sheriff, Harrisonville police department offices, and the Cass County Jail. The Cass County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Cass County Jail. Originally, the Cass County Jail could house approximately 1479 inmates.
