Jail History and Structure
In 1988, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Hillsboro. The justice center houses the Washington County county sheriff, Hillsboro police department offices, and the Washington County Jail. The Washington County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Washington County Jail. Originally, the Washington County Jail could house approximately 1529 inmates.
Over the years, the Washington County Jail has undergone numerous modifications and eventually became one of the largest facilities in the Washington County county.
Juvenile Detention Center
