Jail History and Structure

In 1988, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Union. The justice center houses the Union County county sheriff, Union police department offices, and the Union County Jail. The Union County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Union County Jail. Originally, the Union County Jail could house approximately 2375 inmates.
