Jail History and Structure

In 1987, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Hot Springs. The justice center houses the Fall River County county sheriff, Hot Springs police department offices, and the Fall River County Jail. The Fall River County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Fall River County Jail. Originally, the Fall River County Jail could house approximately 2487 inmates.
