Jail History and Structure

In 1975, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Middlebury. The justice center houses the Addison County county sheriff, Middlebury police department offices, and the Addison County Jail. The Addison County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Addison County Jail. Originally, the Addison County Jail could house approximately 2401 inmates.
