Jail History and Structure

In 1975, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Dodgeville. The justice center houses the Iowa County county sheriff, Dodgeville police department offices, and the Iowa County Jail. The Iowa County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Iowa County Jail. Originally, the Iowa County Jail could house approximately 1622 inmates.

Over the years, the Iowa County Jail has undergone numerous modifications and eventually became one of the largest facilities in the Iowa County county.

Juvenile Detention Center
