Jail History and Structure

In 1986, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Arkadelphia. The justice center houses the Clark County county sheriff, Arkadelphia police department offices, and the Clark County Jail. The Clark County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Clark County Jail. Originally, the Clark County Jail could house approximately 1590 inmates.
