Jail History and Structure
In 1983, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Nezperce. The justice center houses the Lewis County county sheriff, Nezperce police department offices, and the Lewis County Jail. The Lewis County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Lewis County Jail. Originally, the Lewis County Jail could house approximately 1964 inmates.
