Jail History and Structure

In 1990, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Tell City. The justice center houses the Perry County county sheriff, Tell City police department offices, and the Perry County Jail. The Perry County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Perry County Jail. Originally, the Perry County Jail could house approximately 1779 inmates.

Over the years, the Perry County Jail has undergone numerous modifications and eventually became one of the largest facilities in the Perry County county.

Juvenile Detention Center
