Jail History and Structure

In 1978, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Mount Holly. The justice center houses the Burlington County county sheriff, Mount Holly police department offices, and the Burlington County Detention Center. The Burlington County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Burlington County Detention Center. Originally, the Burlington County Detention Center could house approximately 1417 inmates.
