Jail History and Structure
In 1988, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Hudson. The justice center houses the Columbia County county sheriff, Hudson police department offices, and the Columbia County Jail. The Columbia County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Columbia County Jail. Originally, the Columbia County Jail could house approximately 2410 inmates.
