Jail History and Structure
In 1986, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Medford. The justice center houses the Grant County county sheriff, Medford police department offices, and the Grant County Jail. The Grant County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Grant County Jail. Originally, the Grant County Jail could house approximately 2452 inmates.
