Jail History and Structure

In 1980, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Wilburton. The justice center houses the Latimer County county sheriff, Wilburton police department offices, and the Latimer County Jail. The Latimer County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Latimer County Jail. Originally, the Latimer County Jail could house approximately 2376 inmates.
