Jail History and Structure

In 1980, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Wewoka. The justice center houses the Seminole County county sheriff, Wewoka police department offices, and the Seminole County Jail. The Seminole County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Seminole County Jail. Originally, the Seminole County Jail could house approximately 1782 inmates.
