Jail History and Structure
In 1979, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Mound City. The justice center houses the Campbell County county sheriff, Mound City police department offices, and the Campbell County Jail. The Campbell County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Campbell County Jail. Originally, the Campbell County Jail could house approximately 2383 inmates.
