Jail History and Structure

In 1982, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Union City. The justice center houses the Obion County county sheriff, Union City police department offices, and the Obion County Jail. The Obion County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Obion County Jail. Originally, the Obion County Jail could house approximately 1984 inmates.

Over the years, the Obion County Jail has undergone numerous modifications and eventually became one of the largest facilities in the Obion County county.

Juvenile Detention Center
