Jail History and Structure

In 1986, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Muleshoe. The justice center houses the Bailey County county sheriff, Muleshoe police department offices, and the Bailey County Jail. The Bailey County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Bailey County Jail. Originally, the Bailey County Jail could house approximately 2296 inmates.
