Jail History and Structure

In 1976, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Littlefield. The justice center houses the Lamb County county sheriff, Littlefield police department offices, and the Lamb County Jail. The Lamb County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Lamb County Jail. Originally, the Lamb County Jail could house approximately 2467 inmates.

Over the years, the Lamb County Jail has undergone numerous modifications and eventually became one of the largest facilities in the Lamb County county.
