Jail History and Structure

In 1990, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Robert Lee. The justice center houses the Coke County county sheriff, Robert Lee police department offices, and the Coke County Jail. The Coke County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Coke County Jail. Originally, the Coke County Jail could house approximately 2232 inmates.

Over the years, the Coke County Jail has undergone numerous modifications and eventually became one of the largest facilities in the Coke County county.
