Jail History and Structure

In 1975, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Collinsville. The justice center houses the Henry County county sheriff, Collinsville police department offices, and the Henry County Jail. The Henry County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Henry County Jail. Originally, the Henry County Jail could house approximately 1878 inmates.

Over the years, the Henry County Jail has undergone numerous modifications and eventually became one of the largest facilities in the Henry County county.
