Jail History and Structure

In 1984, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Petersburg. The justice center houses the Grant County county sheriff, Petersburg police department offices, and the Grant County Jail. The Grant County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Grant County Jail. Originally, the Grant County Jail could house approximately 2113 inmates.
