Jail History and Structure

In 1975, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Moundsville. The justice center houses the Marshall County county sheriff, Moundsville police department offices, and the Marshall County Jail. The Marshall County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Marshall County Jail. Originally, the Marshall County Jail could house approximately 2432 inmates.
