Jail History and Structure

In 1976, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Grafton. The justice center houses the Taylor County county sheriff, Grafton police department offices, and the Taylor County Jail. The Taylor County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Taylor County Jail. Originally, the Taylor County Jail could house approximately 1971 inmates.
