Jail History and Structure
In 1976, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Barron. The justice center houses the Barron County county sheriff, Barron police department offices, and the Barron County Jail. The Barron County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Barron County Jail. Originally, the Barron County Jail could house approximately 2047 inmates.
Over the years, the Barron County Jail has undergone numerous modifications and eventually became one of the largest facilities in the Barron County county.
