Jail History and Structure

In 1981, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Cody. The justice center houses the Park County county sheriff, Cody police department offices, and the Park County Detention Center. The Park County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Park County Detention Center. Originally, the Park County Detention Center could house approximately 2288 inmates.
