Jail History and Structure

In 1976, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Pierce. The justice center houses the Pierce County county sheriff, Pierce police department offices, and the Pierce County Jail. The Pierce County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Pierce County Jail. Originally, the Pierce County Jail could house approximately 2016 inmates.
