Jail History and Structure

In 1988, a criminal justice center was constructed in downtown Selby. The justice center houses the Walworth County county sheriff, Selby police department offices, and the Potter County Jail. The Walworth County county sheriff is the general overseer of the Potter County Jail. Originally, the Potter County Jail could house approximately 1535 inmates.

Over the years, the Potter County Jail has undergone numerous modifications and eventually became one of the largest facilities in the Walworth County county.

Juvenile Detention Center
